Our Story
Our story goes back, way back!!
We are sisters. Family matters to us, and we’ve done everything together, with a sense of fun and smile of our faces: played sport, spoken at events, been to gigs, met famous people, gone on holiday. So in 2016, we founded Wellington Wealth together.
But it’s not all about us. Our wonderful team works behind the scenes on your behalf, bringing over 150 years of combined industry experience. You are in good hands.

Timeline
Our story goes back, way back!!
Childhood
We had a happy childhood in Troon with hardworking parents & our older sister. We socialised together, played sports together.
Black Monday
Black Monday was a global, severe and largely unexpected stock market crash on Monday, October 19. We remember being aware of it, but we were crabbing on the Isle of Muck.
University
Happy university years in Glasgow. The first taste in the financial industry as part time or summer jobs.
Early Work
We started working in the industry for different financial services firms & institutions, learning the ropes and nuances of the industry, whilst enjoying Glasgow.
Stock Market Financial Crisis
On 15 September 2008 the investment bank Lehman Brothers collapsed, sending shockwaves through the global financial system and beyond. The industry fundamentally changed.
Scotsman IFA
Nicola wins Scotsman IFA of the Year 2013.
Advisers that care
In trying to set our unique selling point we simple wanted to be advisers that care. At the time of starting the business this was the hands of our oldest and youngest clients.
Wellington Wealth is born!
We started small in a compact office, but we dreamed big!

Wellington Wealth FCA Authorised
Wellington Wealth (Glasgow) authorised by FCA. Retail distribution review came into force which abolished commission and a new breed of fee based advisers.

The Wellington Wealth team sent volleyballs to an orphanage in Malawi.

We loved having office bake offs to support Macmillan’s Coffee Mornings.
Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games
We sponsored & supported Lynne Beattie OLY & Mel Coutts to be the first Scottish female beach volleyball team ever to enter the Commonwealth Games.
Joined Nextgen Planners Community
We joined Nextgen Planners a community of younger, more ambitious & fun, client centric people in the industry.
Community work
The Wellington Wealth team are always willing to lend a hand to the community on a beach clean up in Troon.
Mitts for Nepal
Our older sister was leading an expedition to Nepal. So we gathered supplies of stationery, vitamins and home knitted mitts to keep small hands warm.
Covid Crisis
Covid Crisis – Stock market Crash. Whilst many businesses gave up their offices we were in the middle of expansion, Glasgow was empty only the pigeons being social.

We had fabulous builders GMack Construction to bring our dreams to fruition.
Financial Planning Studio was created
We created the Financial Planning Studio, making the most of our time when everyone was working from home. Plenty room to socially distance!
