Nicola Ellis - IFA of the Year
The first adviser to retain the title with the Scotland on Sunday
We are delighted to announce that, for the second consecutive year, Nicola Ellis has won the Scotland on Sunday IFA of the Year award. This is the first time the award has ever been won twice by the same individual - so quite an achievement!
The competition has been running over the last 12 months and the four finalist IFAs were given a client scenario where they had to provide initial financial planning advice and construct an investment portfolio in line with the client’s attitude to risk. Despite a difficult 12 months in the investment market (1st September 2014 – 31st August 2015) which saw the FTSE was down circa -5%, Nicola’s portfolio managed to achieve +6% return over the 12 month period. This investment performance together with the quality of advice provided, clinched the prestigious title.

Money Management Magazine
We are delighted to announce that Nicola Ellis has won the the Protection Planner of the Year Award 2015 from Money Marketing magazine.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of this prestigious industry awards ceremony. The presentation took place in London's Mayfair at a glittering dinner hosted by Dan Walker, the BBC Sports presenter.
Each competitor had to prepare a financial plan to address a case study for a particular financial scenario. This also addressed specific client aims and objectives which is an integral part of the financial planning process for an independent financial adviser.
Nicola was delighted to be named the Winner at the first time of entering the awards as the competition was extremely stiff with many well known faces within the industry.
